The music contained on this site is not free to use. All tracks are copyrighted.

All our music is specially produced for use in film, television, radio, advertising, online and new media. It is strictly for professional use and is NOT ‘buy-out’ or copyright free.

A valid licence must be obtained before any track from discovermusic.ie is broadcast, distributed or exploited in any way.

All music on discovermusic.ie may only be used by obtaining the appropriate licence from The Mechancial Copyright Protection Society Ireland (MCPS) and The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO).

The current MCPS rate card is available from MCPS Ireland or call the Licensing Department on 01 6614 844.

As well as the rate card for individual productions there are also various blanket licences and special deals available. These include the Independent Production Company (IPC) Licence.

The IPC blanket licence is available to all Independent Production Companies and producers making programmes for primary broadcast in the Republic of Ireland, where the music is not covered by an existing broadcaster blanket agreement. Productions are covered for Worldwide All Media exploitation for the lifetime of the production.

If your company operates under a blanket licence from MCPS Ireland you must report all track usages.
